[BUFFALO, NY] Waiting on Alphie, the new film from Diesel Movie Werks will be screened Friday, November 18, 2005 at 7 PM and the Market Arcade Theater on Main Street in Buffalo. The film, written and directed by Kevin Hicks, features two men in an overnight stand-off in a fictitious underground caf in Buffalo. Three of the principle actors in the movie hail from Buffalo. James K. Fulater plays Alphie, Lance Zurek plays Gus and Matthew Landon plays The Waiter in this gritty hitman comedy.

The movies soundtrack features 21 independent artists from around the country with five artists coming from Buffalo. The Missing Planes, The Dollywatchers, daymonthyear, 36 Hours and La Cachouette all add to the eclectic mix of music that can be heard oftentimes from an antique radio in the caf.

Waiting on Alphie is waiting to hear back from Sundance, Slamdance, Tribeca, SXSW, Syracuse, Miami and CineQuest film festivals in December.
